Theory Programs
The crane training school features a strong grounding in theory related to regulations, inspection, power-line safety and site dangers involved in crane operation. Trainees would get understanding about hardware applications, load charts and rigging. Quizzes and direct feedback during the course would help trainees solidify their understanding.
The theory topics include: Safety fundamentals for crane operators; introduction to crane certification process; crane operation knowledge; rigging knowledge; crane rigging charts; communications knowledge; load chart knowledge; crane set-up & pre-trip inspections, and crane maintenance and service.
Practical Programs
The crane training school comprises practical training involving hands-on learning. This component teaches trainees how to identify crane components and terminology. Trainees would have the chance to perform skills required for crane operating, signaling and rigging.
The topics covered in the practical portion consists of: Learn crane terminology; identify crane components and functions; use remote control; identify rigging and wire ropes; identify documents and regulations for wire rope and rigging; pre-use inspection on crane; carry out right lifting and lowering of loads; carry out rigging methods and use radio and hand signals.
